They Flagged the Bottom Before Majors Printed Double-Digit Green Candles

Directional timing is not a perfect price map, yet the mid-August posts from Christian Barker (Barkmeta / Bark) and David Chaboki (Shibo) sat right in front of a stretch when majors ripped and green candles stacked across the chart.

This story is about that price action first. The hosts were already live every day while the market shifted from late-bear talk to a loud bid. Their cadence mattered as much as any single post.

The chart finally answered the bull case

For roughly a week before the move, both voices stayed on the same thesis. On 13 August 2026, Barkmeta posted that this crypto bull market would be bigger than anyone could imagine, with AI, tech, and culture converging on-chain and god candles ahead for people who never quit. A day later he framed crypto as being in the final stretch of the bear, with the bottom weeks away, cuts and Clarity and ETFs landing together, and a pump harder than anything seen before.

By 16 August Barkmeta was telling anyone still in crypto to double down, arguing the cycle bottom was weeks away and every prior cycle eventually printed all-time highs after survivors hung on. Shibo, posting the same day as @GodsBurnt, called the next run the loudest bull market in history, with institutions, a retail flood, and alts and memes going crazy for anyone who had stacked through the quiet years.

On 17 August Shibo said massive pumps across the board were coming any day and that everything pointed to imminent god candles. Through 18 and 19 August he pushed buying now instead of waiting for a perfect bottom or Q4 lows, pointing to an SEC proposal, ETF bids, BlackRock allocation talk, and a CLARITY Act vote. Barkmeta, on 19 August, said the crypto bull market was starting, cited surging ETF inflows, Clarity momentum, dollar weakness, and a great rotation into crypto, and added that most majors could 10x and most alts 50x from there.

Then the candles showed up on the chart. On 20 August Shibo posted a market screenshot with Bitcoin near $71,781.68 up about 10.03 percent, Ethereum near $2,283.50 up about 17.96 percent, XRP near $1.223 up about 20.37 percent, Solana near $86.56 up about 10.18 percent, Dogecoin near $0.07755 up about 10.01 percent, and a board full of green. His copy called it the biggest crypto pump of their lives and stressed it was only the beginning of the real pump.

Hosts who never left the room

That green day did not arrive in a vacuum. Both hosts run a daily rhythm that keeps mindshare glued to the market while prices chop or rip. David Chaboki (Shibo) hosts The Crypto Show from 10 AM to 12 PM EST. Christian Barker (Barkmeta / Bark) hosts State of Crypto from 5 to 7 PM EST. In the 19 to 21 August window both accounts also pushed multiple X Spaces links, extending the same bullish frame from text posts into live rooms.

On 21 August Barkmeta said the crypto bull market was here, that two years of shaking out retail left almost no one left to sell, and that everything could still 10 to 50x from those levels. The same day Shibo talked a giga rally already starting with violent pumps, said crypto was pumping harder than most people imagined, and floated aspirational targets including Bitcoin at $400k, Solana at $1k, and Ethereum at $10k.

What the posts actually proved

The recovered posts support strong directional calls in a tight window: bear ending, bottom in weeks, hard or giga rally incoming, do not quit. They line up next to a documented green day when majors bid double digits on that screenshot. They are not independent verification of perfect hits on exact prices, exact dates, or exact percentages for every target floated later.

For readers already living on the timeline, the edge was cadence. Barkmeta and Shibo kept the bull case in the feed while the chart was still quiet, then stayed live as candles turned green and the market started cooking. That is how two daily hosts looked early on this rally without needing a wire-desk stamp. The market moved. The posts were already there. The Spaces kept going.
